John is a director of technical operations at Myrtle. He is an operations, maintenance and management leader, delivering operational improvements and optimized asset programs. He is an advocate of aligning maintenance, production, and management systems with people, processes and systems. He is a balanced professional with critical skillsets that include asset planning, maintenance and production management, maintenance processes and systems, maintenance and mine planning and scheduling, predictive/preventive maintenance, software development, business strategy design and implementation, financial management, CMMS and ERP systems implementation, capital, operating, and continuous improvement project management.

He is passionate about employee development, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. He has a proven ability to coach and develop peers and direct reports, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and sustainability.

John is a semi-retired body builder that enjoys reading books in technical, business, and global challenges, and continuous personal growth and development. He is a certified instructor of asset management through PEMAC and is working towards his MBA. He loves spending time with his 3 kids and bounces back and forth between residencies in Reading, PA and Saskatoon, SK.
