Edwin Bosso

Edwin is the founder, CEO and senior partner of Myrtle Consulting Group. He has had the privilege of trotting around the world growing up and has lived in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Ivory Coast, France, Burkina Faso and the Netherlands. Edwin will tell you that his travels have taught him a lot about human interactions, which would prove useful later in his career as a change management professional. He is fluent in four languages. Edwin completed his undergraduate education at The Hague Polytechnic in the Netherlands and earned an MBA from Rice University in Houston, Texas. He started his career with IP, Inc. in France and entered the consulting industry at Peter Chadwick in London.

During his years in consulting, Edwin has undertaken a wide range of assignments in Europe, Asia and North America, specializing in operations improvement and change management. Edwin’s passion for the Food and Beverage industry is the result of several projects.   Read more…

Doug Newman

Doug is a partner with Myrtle, where he is responsible for business growth and development. In his more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing and consulting, Doug has developed a unique combination of experience that makes him a resourceful and creative problem-solver with the vision and communication skills to formulate enterprise-based solutions. He is an energetic team player with a consistent and demonstrated track record of coalition building to produce fast results. He has extensive global experience, having worked on projects in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, South Africa, Australia, the U.K., France, Belgium, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Germany, India and China.

Doug earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his bachelor’s degree from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Doug began his career in the medical products manufacturing business.  Read more…

Tim Johnson

Tim specializes in using Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques to improve business performance. It is this passion that afforded him the opportunity to become a partner with Myrtle. Tim is a proven leader in designing and implementing operational transformation programs, Lean Six Sigma training for various belts and continuous improvement teams. He also has extensive experience deploying operations excellence in a variety of industries that include food & beverage, life sciences, consumer packaged goods, energy, chemicals and government.

Tim received his MBA from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, one of the world’s leading business schools. Even though he resides in the Metro Atlanta area, the eyes of Texas are upon him. Tim graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Immediately after college, he began his career with Ethicon, a Johnson & Johnson Company, as an automation process supervisor.   Read more…

Tim Tancred

Tim is a partner at Myrtle, where he leads business development and the Assessment Verification Scan (AVS) phase of our engagements. He started his career as a manufacturing engineer in the automotive sector with VDO-Yazaki, providing production technical support for the tier one supplier to Toyota. With this fundamental grounding in the Toyota Production System, Tim’s career progressed with Lean manufacturing as a center point for all his endeavors.

His international consulting experience spans the FMCG, oil & gas, industrials, chemicals and food & beverage verticals, but with the common thread of an initial detailed assessment of current performance, then based on that, the development and implementation of improvement programs to eliminate waste and maximize the value-added activities of a business.

Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of London, U.K., and an executive MBA from the Robinson School of Business, Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia.  Read more…

Mike Atkinson

Mike is a principal and vice president at Myrtle, where he has responsibility for the development and profitability of the Life Sciences sector. Mike brings to Myrtle over 18 years of industry experience where he has led global Operations and Supply Chain leadership roles plus over 11 years of consulting experience. Mike also has extensive knowledge and experience designing and implementing operational excellence programs including lean and six sigma.

Prior to joining Myrtle, Mike was Senior Vice President of Operations & Supply Chain for Essilor of America, a $3B business unit of Essilor Group the global leader in ophthalmic optics. In this role, Mike oversaw an organization of 4,000+ people who provided solutions to correct and protect the visual health of over 25 million people each year. Prior to Essilor, Mike held global leadership roles in Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations for Abbott Medical Optics and Abbott Nutrition. Read more…

Melvin Bosso

Melvin Bosso is a principal at Myrtle Consulting. Accomplished and versatile, he has a proven track record in cost management discipline, network optimization, root cause analysis methodology and excellence programs. He is also an expert in developing processes and management systems that favor cooperation and focus on strategic company objectives.

Melvin studied Engineering Geology at the University of Technology of Delft in the Netherlands. He joined Myrtle after leading plant operations at CHEP Canada for three years. While at CHEP, he led the company in a complete transformation of the network. Costs went down by 10 percent, production output grew 60 percent, and safety incidents went down by 80 percent while he was in this role.

Prior to leading CHEP’s operations, Melvin spent nearly eight years with Labatt in diverse leadership roles.

Frederic Clos

Frederic is an operations principal at Myrtle and supports business development in Europe.  He is experienced in high profile structural and operational roles with more than 21 years of experience working with manufacturing plant optimization, waste reduction, project management, business development, and organizational transformation and design.  Frederic is an American – French dual citizen, fluent in both English and French.

He has led global merger integration, designed new organizational structures, managed manufacturing facilities, and led complex engineering projects within the global oil & gas industry for a number of products, clients, and locations with international experience spanning Europe, North and South America, and Asia.  Through his vast experience, he understands what it is like to be the executive client and can relate to the needs and challenges associated with the role. Read more…

Mike Collins

Mike Collins is a principal with Myrtle Consulting Group. With more than 25 years of experience working across the globe leading the analysis phase (AVS) of the delivery process for over 100 companies and leveraging methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma to lead teams to identify fact-based operational opportunities.  Mike then leads the team to work collaboratively with clients to design executable programs that drive significant financial and operational benefits.

His client base has spanned a wide range of industries, including Mining and Metals, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Food & Beverage, Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Telecom, and end-to-end Supply Chain.  Additionally, over his consulting career, Mike led both operational delivery and sales functions. Read more…

Jason Erny

Jason is the Chief Financial Officer at Myrtle. Specializing in Financial Planning & Budgeting, Asset Management and Business Performance Management, Jason brings a breadth of experience to the group through experience leading multiple engagements across the mining, manufacturing and consumer goods industries. He is known for partnering with clients to solve problems, improve work processes and develop the collective organizational behavioral changes required to drive measurable and sustainable results.

Jason is a Chartered Financial Analyst Level II Candidate and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. Rigo Frias

Rigo is a principal at Myrtle. He is a seasoned operations professional, with more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing and operations. He has led a wide range of assignments and has delivered results in companies worldwide by implementing lean manufacturing programs, business process reengineering, management systems and maintenance processes and systems. Chris Gregory

Chris Gregory is a principal at Myrtle. He has more than 18 years of experience in leading strategic initiatives for multiple Fortune 500 companies. Chris has spent a large portion of his consulting career in the oil & gas, mining, consumer products and private equity industries.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, and spent more than 10 years in operations with Sears, Roebuck & Company, where he was exposed to great “shop floor” leaders. Chris has worked as a project manager and operations leader in numerous consulting roles.

Strong program management skills have helped Chris deliver more than $200 million in sustainable benefits for his clients. His functional expertise resides in asset optimization, asset care and leadership development. Lance Hartley

Lance is a principal and vice president at Myrtle, where he is responsible for the growth and profitability of the firm’s mining and metals business. Lance has over 23 years international management consulting experience working with clients in the Mining, Oil and Gas, Chemical, and Life Sciences sectors both in Europe, and the Americas.

He was one of the founder members of the Peter Chadwick Americas firm, which later became Cambridge Management Consulting, then Celerant Consulting, and more recently Hitachi Consulting. Lance made significant contributions to growth of each of these firms through leadership roles in business development, analysis and operations. He has also led the design and implementation of large scale results programs – building strong operations teams that deliver great results for clients. Lotfi Maroizy

Lotfi is a principal at Myrtle, where he leads alongside other directors and project managers all implementation projects and programs within North America. Throughout his management consulting career, Lotfi has led and worked closely with leaders at all levels of the organization on the development, execution and management of more than 25 engagements, ranging from process design, performance improvement projects, maintenance & reliability programs, cost reduction initiatives, revenue enhancement, corporate restructuring, M&A and due diligence, planning and integration. Through his efforts, Lotfi has driven significant financial benefits within organizations in the food & beverages, consumer packaged goods, chemicals, mining, energy and life sciences industries.

Michael Neff

Mike is a principal and vice president at Myrtle, where he is responsible for the growth and profitability for the Consumer/Food & Beverage business, working in co-ordination with other sectors heads to drive business outcomes at Myrtle. An experienced senior executive who has worked for and with iconic brands both here and abroad predominantly in Consumer Products, Food & Beverage and Retail, his focus is driving innovation, operational efficiencies, customer loyalty and enhanced strategies around operations, supply chain and product development.

For the last 15 years, Mike was a Managing Director at Accenture and Partner at CSC in the Consumer, Fashion & Retail Segments. This included standing up a Global Consumer Segment with responsibility to profitably sell and deliver $720 M in IT and Consulting services. He started his career at P&G. Paul Springer

Paul is a principal at Myrtle. He is a highly-experienced consultant who has operated at director, vice president and principal levels in Europe, Asia, Canada, South America, South Africa and the United States.

Paul has strong industry experience, particularly in fast moving consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, metals and mining, energy, construction, high-tech, and process and discrete manufacturing. During his 60-plus client engagements over the past 10 years, he has analyzed, created, managed and executed complex transformational programs for more than 30 Fortune 1000 companies valued at more than $250 million in cost and revenue improvements.

Paul graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Upon graduation, he served five years as an officer in the United States Army.   Read more…

Gary Traylor

Gary is a principal and vice president at Myrtle, where he is responsible for the growth and profitability of the firm’s Chemicals and Oil & Gas businesses. He also co-leads Myrtle’s OperomicsTM Artificial Intelligence offering, which includes advanced data analytics, robotic process automation and machine learning applications to business operations.

Throughout his 35-year career, Gary has designed and led large-scale business transformation programs for several Fortune 500 companies, partnering with CEOs and top executives to improve business-wide operating margins, increase capital efficiency, enable sales growth and expand core organizational capabilities. His enterprise programs have spanned the client’s value chain, impacting field and plant operations, capital projects and plant turnarounds, logistics and the supply chain, product and service portfolios, safety and environmental safeguards, and much more. Chris Glaum

Chris is the Managing Director for Myrtle Consulting Group in Europe, responsible for the growth and development of the European business. Chris is an accomplished executive who before moving into consulting, held senior positions in the automotive and aerospace industries. Chris has an outstanding track record across four continents, effectively developing and executing complex business transformation initiatives, focusing on working at board level to achieve challenging objectives.

Abe is Managing Director for Myrtle America Latina. David L. Bartholomew III

David L. Bartholomew III is the Director of Leadership Development and Organizational Effectiveness for Myrtle Consulting Group.  He brings nearly 30 years of experience in the fields of leadership empowerment, organizational effectiveness, and the behavioral sciences.  David is a global leadership consultant and executive coach whose diverse industry portfolio includes consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, mining, pulp and paper, manufacturing, production, public health, and government. He has also spoken nationally on change management, leadership, and empowerment and often utilized as a trusted advisor to business leaders and executives.

Chris is the Human Resources Director at Myrtle Consulting Group and plays a lead role in defining and executing our HR strategy and processes. Chris has over 18 years of HR management experience working in industrial business lines, such as food and beverage, oil and gas, petrochemicals and utilities. Prior to joining Myrtle, Chris worked for Fortune 500 companies such as CenterPoint Energy and Westlake Chemical Corp.

Throughout his career, he has focused on successfully partnering with the business to improve HR processes and provide excellent HR services. Chris has led multiple complex efforts in the areas of recruiting, employee relations, workforce planning, compensation and benefits across both small and large organizations. Rick Foerster

Rick Foerster is a director with Myrtle, where he has excelled in the management and delivery of complex operational excellence transformations. He has over 17 years of project management and professional consulting experience, specializing in operations management, maintenance planning/execution, equipment reliability, logistics, supply chain management, and software system implementations.

As a director he holds leadership positions within Myrtle’s Project Management Office (PMO) and with Myrtle’s Digital Transformation Excellence Team, who specialize in implementing disruptive technologies, which includes manufacturing line digitization via IoT, data modeling, advanced analytics, predictive maintenance, and machine learning.

Stan Garrison

Stan Garrison is a business development executive at Myrtle. He has more than 25 years of experience as a results-oriented business development executive, consultant and corporate transaction advisor with specific expertise in operations management, performance improvement, change management, mergers and acquisitions, and operational due diligence.

Stan has led delivery teams on projects using Lean and Six Sigma techniques, process analysis and labor optimization, spend management and reliability centered maintenance. His industry experience includes a broad range of manufacturing companies in food production, paper and packaging, industrial products and chemicals. He has conducted many assignments for private equity sponsors during due diligence, transition planning and turnaround. Mark Hampel

Mark is a director with Myrtle. With over 15 years of Operational Consulting experience, he has undertaken multiple assignments across the mining, oil & gas, chemical, and construction industries. Mark has experience leading large, multi-site engagements and a track record of delivering results. As an account manager for a recent client, his teams realized over $500M NPV in operational improvements across the mining network. In addition, he led several analyses to identify operational issues facing clients and build the business cases and roadmaps to address those issues. Mark specializes in Asset Management, Business Performance Management, and Supply Chain Management.

Brian Penn

Brian Penn is a director with Myrtle, where he is focused on operations, learning and development. With more than 15 years of professional consulting experience, he has expertise in analysis, design and implementation of improved processes, organizational design and integrated management systems.

He has managed and executed complex, transformational programs accounting for more than $100 million in cost and revenue improvements. In a previous leadership position, Brian successfully developed and facilitated training curriculum and programs for hundreds of consultants. He also has experience implementing operations excellence in a variety of industries, including food & beverage, life sciences, consumer packaged goods and chemicals.

John Pocock

John is a director of technical operations at Myrtle. He is an operations, maintenance and management leader, delivering operational improvements and optimized asset programs. He is an advocate of aligning maintenance, production, and management systems with people, processes and systems. He is a balanced professional with critical skillsets that include asset planning, maintenance and production management, maintenance processes and systems, maintenance and mine planning and scheduling, predictive/
preventive maintenance, software development, business strategy design and implementation, financial management, CMMS and ERP systems implementation, capital, operating, and continuous improvement project management.

Angelo Romano

Angelo is a Director with Myrtle Group based in Montreal. He brings more than 20 years operations consulting, engineering, project management, enterprise asset management, and implementation experience in the construction, oil and gas, mining, pulp and paper and telecommunications industries.

He is an experienced project/program manager and process improvement specialist. Working closely with teams in the corporate office and on the shop floor, he has managed many successful enterprise and operational redesigns resulting in significant benefits on operational performance and margins.

Bill Ruth

Bill is a director at Myrtle. He has more than 30 years of experience as a leader and team builder in operations and engineering. He excels at identifying opportunities and implementing Lean manufacturing processes, as well as maintenance and reliability improvements.

He has in-depth experience in operations planning—staffing, work measurement, load planning and optimization, and workload balancing—and significant program management experience with sustainable improvements and results.

Bill received his MBA from Southern New Hampshire University and his bachelor’s degree in Business from Salem State University. Following a long career at UPS in operations and engineering, Bill led many successful consulting programs in a variety of industries, including food & beverage, oil & gas, life sciences, chemicals, vehicle assembly and others.   Read more…

Chuck Stewart

Chuck is a Business Development Executive for the central region, bringing more than 25 years of experience in helping companies achieve improved performance. He brings expertise in the form of clearly identifying needs and helping to define solid solutions while delivering value throughout the enterprise. His industry experience includes a wide range of manufacturing companies in automotive, industrial products, paper and packaging, food production, building products and chemicals. Prior to joining Myrtle, Ramon spent thirteen years with Celerant Consulting (later becoming Hitachi), where his professional experience landed him in the U.S., UK, Canada, Chile and Trinidad.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas. Upon Graduation, Ramon spent time working as a manufacturing engineer for Texas Instruments and Wal-Mart where he learned first-hand how to resolve issues at the operational level.   Read more…
