Mike is a principal and vice president at Myrtle, where he has responsibility for the development and profitability of the Life Sciences sector. Mike brings to Myrtle over 18 years of industry experience where he has led global Operations and Supply Chain leadership roles plus over 11 years of consulting experience. Mike also has extensive knowledge and experience designing and implementing operational excellence programs including lean and six sigma.
Prior to joining Myrtle, Mike was Senior Vice President of Operations & Supply Chain for Essilor of America, a $3B business unit of Essilor Group the global leader in ophthalmic optics. In this role, Mike oversaw an organization of 4,000+ people who provided solutions to correct and protect the visual health of over 25 million people each year. Prior to Essilor, Mike held global leadership roles in Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations for Abbott Medical Optics and Abbott Nutrition. Early in Mike’s career, he worked for Motorola Solutions and Schlumberger with roles in finance, sales & marketing and operations.
Mike has over 11 years in consulting working for Celerant Consulting and Management Engineers (now part of PwC Strategy&). In his consulting career, Mike helped market leading organizations improve their operational performance through creative and innovative yet pragmatic solutions.
Mike earned his Master’s in Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He also holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration, Finance and Economics from Southwest Baptist University. He has also participated in several Leadership Development programs as well as Executive Education from institutions like INSEAD.
Mike resides with his wife and four boys in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. His passions are golf and skiing.
